Struck from (916.7 fine) gold, the coin features a portrait of Prince Philip surrounded by the inscription “HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH • NON SIBI SED PATRIAE”.
This example has been graded PF70 by NGC, recognising a proof coin that has achieved the highest numerical grade awarded by NGC. It also carries the One of First 50 Struck designation, adding further collectable appeal to this commemorative British gold coin.
