Product Highlights
The 2005 Double Sovereign Gold Proof Coin forms part of The Royal Mint’s historic Sovereign family. Struck from 22 carat (916.7 fine) gold, it features Timothy Noad’s modern reinterpretation of the classic St George and the Dragon scene, created as a special alternative to Benedetto Pistrucci’s iconic original design.
This example has been graded PF69 Ultra Cameo by NGC, recognising a virtually flawless proof coin with sharply contrasting frosted details and deeply mirrored fields. Its larger Double Sovereign format, distinctive one-year reverse design and exceptional certified grade give it strong collector appeal.
