The 2018 Sapphire Anniversary Privy Full Sovereign Gold Proof Coin was issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Struck from 22 carat (916.7 fine) gold, the coin features Jody Clark’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse alongside Benedetto Pistrucci’s iconic St George and the Dragon design on the reverse, accompanied by a special sapphire coronation privy mark.
