Product Highlights
The 2002 Golden Jubilee Full Sovereign was issued by The Royal Mint to mark the 50th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth IIโs accession to the throne. Struck from 22 carat (916.7 fine) gold, the coin features Ian Rank-Broadleyโs portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and Timothy Noadโs special Royal Arms shield design on the reverse.
Created specifically for the Golden Jubilee year, the shield reverse replaced Benedetto Pistrucciโs traditional St George and the Dragon design, making the 2002 Sovereign a distinctive commemorative issue. This example has been graded PF69 Ultra Cameo by NGC, recognising a proof coin of exceptional quality with strongly contrasting frosted details and mirrored fields.
