The 1958 Full Sovereign was struck by The Royal Mint in 22 carat gold during the early years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. The obverse features Mary Gillick’s first definitive portrait of the young Queen, while the reverse carries Benedetto Pistrucci’s iconic St George and the Dragon design.

This example has been professionally graded MS64 by NGC, recognising a high-quality Mint State example of this early Elizabeth II Sovereign. Unlike later Proof issues, the 1958 Sovereign was produced as a circulating bullion coin, making preservation in strong Mint State condition particularly desirable.

Its early Elizabeth II date, classic Pistrucci design and certified Mint State grade make it a desirable addition to a British Sovereign collection.
