Product Highlights
The 2023 King Charles III Coronation Double Sovereign was struck by The Royal Mint in 22 carat gold to commemorate the historic coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on 6 May 2023. The reverse features Benedetto Pistrucci's iconic depiction of St George slaying the dragon, a design synonymous with the British Sovereign series.
The obverse features Martin Jennings' specially commissioned crowned portrait of King Charles III, distinguishing this Coronation edition from the standard Sovereign releases. This proof example has been professionally graded PF70 Ultra Cameo by NGC, recognising a flawless proof coin with exceptional contrast between its frosted design and mirrored fields.
Its historic Coronation significance, distinctive crowned portrait, classic Pistrucci design and perfect certified PF70 Ultra Cameo grade make it a highly desirable addition to a British Sovereign collection.
