The 2020 VE Day £2 Gold Proof Coin was struck by The Royal Mint in 22 carat gold to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, marking the end of the Second World War in Europe on 8 May 1945. The reverse features a celebratory design by Dominique Evans, depicting crowds rejoicing beneath the word "VICTORY", alongside the inscription "VICTORY IN EUROPE DAY" and the dates 1945–2020.
